Deception

Creaking from the darkness,
Piercing the hazy mist,
The first glimpses of the red ball
Burst through the sky
Bouncing off the dew crystals, hitting the eye,
Sensations are aroused - All High.
A cacophony erupts from the green,
Painting a blooming picture, like cherry on cream!

But wait, is it for real?
It wears a blanket of mist,
Maybe it's a deal!
This thought engulfs the mind,
The cacophony turns into a scene of crime.
The bloody rays piercing the clouds,
Remind of a monster waiting to get out.

Maybe it's a collusion for the dawn to meet the dusk.
Maybe it's a curtain being raised for the day to meet the dust.
I guess it's better that I slow down,
Bury myself in the quilt and forget about the showdown.
